Microsoft organized an IT training programme under Project Vikas. It was held on 13th December 2008 at Sport king in Ludhiana. The aim was to impart knowledge and tips for the effective use of IT in knitwear and garment sector to increase overall business productivity.
The training was attended by executives, business owners, computer operators and office management staff working with computers. The topics covered in the training programme by the trainer were Basic Operating System, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Express. The firms that participated for the workforce training programme were Superfine, Vallabh Fabriks, Vallabh Knits, Bhandari Hosiery, TUV SUD and ATDC.
Neeraj Ghai from HCL was the speaker.The key message that was given in the training programme was that effective use of IT can increase efficiency of work which in turn can increase the overall efficiency of the organization. An inefficient workforce always hampers the work culture of the organization
